    R value of Airline blanket?

So I took a red eye flight back to Minnesota last night on Delta. And they provide you with blankets. It was a pretty empty flight so i took a couple extra blankets with me, (5 to be exact).

I've been thinking of making a sleeping bag liner like the Sea to Summit ones that say they will add 15-25 degrees.

The Delta blanket is about 1 yard X 1.5 yard, and weighs 7oz each. Anybody know what the R value might be of these. It seems like it is a polyster/cotton blend, no tag to prove it though.

Or does anybody have any other ideas on what to do with them?

i have barely gotten 5 degrees from a sea-summit liner. R value is a building rating. is there a conversion to cloth (tog or clo is used)??

Nice little blankets, but not worth it for backpacking or even car camping. Too little warmth for 7oz.

Imagine what adding HALF that weight in down to your quilt/bag! Or a thicker puffy jacket.

Use one to make a cozy pillow case.

Before of after some kid puked on them? HAHA just kidding. They're new out of plastic bags every flight right?

I've only been spoiled with peanuts and warm 7-Up on my flights.

Ya who knows? That's what soap is for! It is a little heavy, the 25 degree sea to summit is 14 oz. But I'm pretty sure I won't get 25 out of these, maybe 10?
