    Gday from Australia

Hi everyone, I have at last bitten the bullet so to speak and finally purchased a Hennessy Expedition Zip.
I suffer with some back issues so im hoping this is my answer to long comfortable nights in the Ozy bush.
Im very impressed with the HH and with all the info that has been shared on here.
All I have to do now is make an underquilt and decide on which suspension method to use.
    Thanks all
    Paul

You'll get a lot of use out of your hammock. Let us know how the first hang goes.

    G'day Tomuda, and welcome aboard.
Stick with the stock suspension for a while….you'll have other things to sort out first. Like just getting used to the whole hammock sleep thing. Some folk drift straight off while others need a few nights to settle in. But its a fun journey.

What part of Qld ? I'm in the SE.

By the way, I think I'll start an Aussie show yourself thread in General…..seems to be a lot gathering lately.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. A fine piece of kit that will serve you well.

As a fellow back issue hanger, takes a little time to find the "sweet spot" in the hammock. A combination of suspension, hanging preferences (angle, sag, risgeline length), setup in the hammock (pillow, knee support) before you really get dialed in. But once you do, and it won't take long, there is nothing like it when resting out of doors.

    Enjoy.

    Welcome Tomuda

Sleeping in a hammock has all but gotten rid of any back issues I had while bushwalking

    Hi Tomuda,

Welcome from another Aussie hanger. Be warned! This forum has claimed many ground dwellers and turned them into crazed hangers that will spend the rest of their days in search of the hammocking holy grail of "the perfect hang". Have fun trying to find yours!
