They didn't buy the boat, but the freeze plugs seem to have fallen out of the engine block. I don't know if the block is cracked or not, but the engine will have to be pulled out. It's not looking good. Not looking good at all.

    Well that sucks.

I know you guys want to go out on an island, but it may not happen that way.

Perhaps we need to come up with a backup plan and say we'll go to Congaree should the boat thing fall through. I have tons of bug spray and really don't mind going out there that much.

Dameon and I are looking into Kayaks and Canoes. Might be able to paddle to the Island. (not an Island I know.)

I guess if you stay near the shoreline, you should be okay. Anyone who can't make it via canoe or kayak will have to make arrangements with me to get across, I suppose.

Why should we stay near the shoreline?
Relax, monsters under the hammock are easily distracted by twister-playing squirrels.

That looks like a pretty good distance between the landing and the "island". Water could get pretty rough and people in boats or jet skis might never see you and run you over.

Could make for an unpleasant trip.

Nah, its not a problem, and it isn't very far, if I go by canoe I will put it at a friends house that is much closer!

Well I need to get a head count for the number of people who will be needing transport across the lake to the beach we're camping on. I know it will be me, plus a friend from work.

    Head Count

I might need a ride if things don't work out with my boat or if I don't find a Kayak by then.

I invited a couple of people that I know who are ground dwellers.
So there is going to be 15 to 20 more people coming, but we don't need to worry about them. They have their own boats. (and tents........)
