Monster miles with Dutch

OK team HF,
Dutch and I are hiking in the Shenandoah National Park 5/16 - 5/19. Departure is late afternoon 5/16, at a trail-head leading up to Old Rag Mountain.

So Dutch is on this kick to lose 50 pounds, and to run a marathon a month; he wants to put in 15 miles @ day. Daylight hours are long in mid-May so I figure I'm up for that. (Ask me Monday 5/18 though. )

Anybody want to join us, hang back with the slow sister on this trip (read me), we can let Dutch clear the trail of bears and day trippers ahead of us? We're happy to provide details, and happy to have the company.

How much does Dutch weigh? Guess he'll weigh nothing soon losing 50lbs/month.

They really aren't monster miles, but if anyone has the time the Shenandoahs are one of my favorite places to hike and I've never been up Old Rag Mountain.

Fun fact; Old rag mountain was named after a JRB quilt.......or maybe it was the other way around. Well that quilt it more famous anyhow.

I'm having trouble with month numbers today. This is the second or third time I've used 4 (april) rather than 5 (may).

Hey Grizz...you can slow Dutch down if you insist he carry his grill and make pancakes for the two of you for breakfast everyday. Believe me...it will be worth it.
