    Spray Paint Neat Sheet

Has anyone tried this? I won't be home until sometime next week and my curiosity is killing me. I'd love to turn the Neat Sheet from blue to green to keep it stealthy. I realize that the paint would very modestly increase the weight of the sheet.

I think that would restrict any breathing and it would most probably flake off, you could try to dye it but i dont think it will hold the colour

Disclaimer: i dont have a neatsheet and never tried it.

I not for sure what the neat sheet material actually is, but could you possibilly use fabric dye and dyeit instead of spray painting it. I would think the chemicals in paint would ruin the material JMHO.

I have spray painted cotton t-shirts with regular spray paint (4 colour stencil- shiver!) and lots of levels of paint makes the fabric very stiff. After a while they get softer but fade as well.

Havn't tried it, so not sure: as the blue is darkish, the green would (may?) have trouble covering it*. Prolly be best to bleach it first then dye it. OR: dye it black & let it be.

I think that the neat sheet is (sort of) paper. Should hold dye OK. As suggested above the dyeing process may mess up the fabric. That is if the bleach dosn't destroy it first.

*Likely you will only darken the fabric.

I've tried some darker dyes way back a few years ago in a Neat Sheet, and it held the colors quite well initially, although the durability of the material leaves something to be desired for longer-term use. It was just kind of a pain to dye it and then realize it wouldn't last as long as a nylon or polyester barrier. My $.02
