REI has this on their website: http://www.rei.com/product/866992/en...lenest-hammock

Looking at the specs, it is a SingleNest with a zippered bug net.

I'd say you're about right, Doni.

I gave honest thought to ordering a JungleNest, but I actually prefer the versatility of a removable bug net over the convenience of an integrated one.

    My own thoughts:

Looks like a narrower hammock (at least compared to the ENO DN). I'm sure it's to help with the pitch of the netting, but I'm not sure how diagonal a lay you're going to get in this, comparatively?

Not sure how breathable the no-see-um netting is, and it's only a topcover. Probably would mean some hot and muggy summer nights with a butt full of skeeter bites (since it terminates at the top of the hammock and doesn't extend below it like a Guardian Bug Net does).

Really wish ENO would just add an SRL - definitely not a fan of the GT SBP style suspension for the netting.

It's got all the right intentions, and I'm glad ENO is at least offering a hammock with an integrated net. But I don't think it's for me. Gonna hold on to my DN for now.

I just can't justify the weight of the JungleNest. I haven't "fondled" it yet but it just looks heavy and bulky. I could be wrong though.

Yeah. 1 lb 11 oz. Looks like they're only offering it initially in gray, too. Kinda odd and atypical for them not to offer more than one color choice. My guess is they're feeling the market out and will offer more choices, or tank the model, accordingly.

got my kids two of them
one thing I did was put a line inside so the net stays up as they are stock even pulled back with the little stretch cord they have it sags
inside near the net adjusting lines or whatever they are called are two small fabric loops just ran a cord from one to the other and kept the net up quite a bit more you cant faintly see the orange cord in the pic
want to figure out a better solution still

that hole the line goes up through to the ridge line ? not sure when I was inside laying down I could easily see through it not sure about it ? kinda think it might be big enough for some flying small bugs to get through ?

Also, I am large but not hugely so....but I DO love my DN....are there any plans for them to make one of these "nests" in the double size?
