    a thought about ring buckles

perhaps someone in the cottage industry or someone with a bunch of free time could start selling ring buckle systems (the cord, rings, and webbing). it seems that everyone who finds this site converts to some sort of buckle variation.

so instead of everyone paying money to have stuff shipped (or mooched off guys w/ extras - like i did for my cord ) perhaps some entrepenurial person could just bulk buy and sell all 3 parts of the kit as 1. it would cut out a lot of the middle man and i'm sure the person making it would make decent scratch for his time/effort

    thoughts? yes/no?

    knock yourself out...

Here's the problem... some people don't want the rings.. they want cinch buckles. Strapworks webbing is prefered by some but not by others. Polysester is the choice for many but polypro webbing is cheaper and works just as well in my opinion but not in other's opinions.

JRB has packaged its system as a unit if you want tri-glides. Some folks won't touch amsteel blue for love or money, others think it the world best solution for everything short of 150 proof Southern Comfort. You got those HH nuts who won't drea, of cutting the stock ropes just in case they don't like a ring buckle system. You got the people who want to take the stock rope completely off the HH and substitute veterinarian grade lion dental floss because whoever heard of that stuff breaking. (ok the lion dental floss is hyperbole but noting else is.) Get my point?

Ugh.. I hate it when I can't sleep....
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Warbonnet sells the package, as well. And cheaper than I can buy the individual items, even with shipping.
