I might join as well, let me check with the wife and make sure she doesn't have anything that weekend. It has been almost 2 yrs since my last trip to sipsey.

I'm going to try to do it that weekend, my b'day is that Sunday, fun way to celebrate.
Is there a date when you need to know who is going to make it? I might be able to make this one, but won't know till the last minute.
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

I don't really need to know how many are coming since we're camping at Wolfpen Hunter's camp. No reservations required. Hope you can make it Stevebo.
I was out in Bankhead yesterday - I was going to go and check out the hanging possibilities, but drove the other way and didn't think about it until I was WAY PAST the trading post going north. I'm sure there's plenty of trees....

So, what do you guys have planned-----is this backpacking, or car camping? If backpacking, how many miles a day are planned?

When and where are you meeting ?
Wolfpen Hunters Camp. About 2 miles west of The Sipsey Recreation Area on Winston County Road 60 ( Cranal Road).
I plan on getting there Friday afternoon April 4.
Ha! Seems that the Wolfpen Hunters Camp may have more to offer.

Sleep with one eye open boys and girls!!! Mooohhhhaaaawwwwhhaaaaaa!
In all seriousness, I was just trying to find the location on a map to get a better feel for where the campsite will be and came across that. I am going to try and make it. I own a seasonal retail/wholesale crawfish business and we should be in full swing by then (if it would quit snowing in S. Louisiana???) Anyways, my crew should be able to handle the weekend and hopefully my son and I will be able to make it. Squid, do you have the coordinates of the campsite?
