Lots of folks in the Sipsey this past weekend. Saw a group of at least 11 (counting headlamps) walk down the opposite side of the river and through a couple of camps at midnight on Friday. I've only been there twice, but it's been busy both times. If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If a tree falls in the Sipsey, it is only on the ground for a few seconds before someone scavenges it for firewood...
Well. I am saddened to report Logan and I will not be able to make it. We have one of our CSRs at the office who had surgery and will still be out the week of the hang. I was really hoping to be able to make it. Wish all of you a wonderful trip!
I saw that group of Martians....couldn't figure why they were trekking in the middle of the night.....
Did you happen to run into a fella that looked like Anthony Edwards in Top Gun (pornstache, ray ban aviator knockoffs, the whole 9 yards) with the shirt that said "free mustache rides?" He must have passed thru a group of coeds right before I came thru because I could hear them teasing the guys they were with about hiking out with some dude they called Mike Honcho.
I never actually laid eyes on him myself, but I did pass a group at ship rock that spoke in hushed tones of reverence of a mysterious, mustached man. It was said that his mustache alone had experienced more than a lesser man's entire body, and that Mosquitos refuse to bite him purely out of respect.

Looking forward to the hang and meeting you guys. It will probably be late Friday night when I make it. Plan on leaving Birmingham around 7 at the latest.

Where is everyone gonna hike on that Saturday?
I'd love to do the little ugly loop if anyone wants to join me. I've never done it before, though. I could do it Sunday maybe....
