As long as it is scheduled around big UA games we would like to attend. I love backpacking in the fall ,but I love football more!

Ah....the problem with planning a fall hang. Don't throw stuff at me, but I forgot about college football! If that's the criteria then I vote for 11/ 1.
Gun season usually starts around 11/ 22. The camp might be full of hunters then.

That would be awesome. I know my boy would like to see that area again and I should be done with seasonal work by that point. If that date holds, I'm in. Kilt and all.

EDIT: I was at the LA hang last year when Alabama was playing LSU. If those cajuns can hook up a flat screen TV in the back of a truck surely these Alabama rocket scientist can manage the same. It was a blast watching grown men cry around a campfire eating More Pork Than Beans and a whole roast pig.

I am glad Y'all had fun.
I cursed a lot but I am still happy for ya.
Sipsey is still calling my name.

After all that, we did not have fire on the ground until yesterday!
It's burning good though and I will be home by 10.
sent from a rather uneventful east/west fireline...somewhere in LRC.

That was a good hang. And something I’ve been meaning to let you know, that stake pouch that you donated to the raffle and I won, I wasn’t too sure how much I was going to like it, but that thing is really nice!!!
My ego said, SURE you can.
Half way in my body said OH NO YOU CAN'T

A buddy and I went last year. After leaving we thought about having T-shirts printed up that said "YES, I've Seen The Big Tree." Everyone we ran into from the 204 to sipsey trailhead, and we ran into a lot of folks, asked if we'd seen the big tree.

Drifter, you have no idea how much that makes me happy to hear. Not just that it was well received but that it has been of use to you. SO glad you are enjoying it.
