I have a new Superfly tarp that I received for Christmas, and am trying to decide how to rig it. I have a Hennessy hammock, and have always just used the standard tarp attached directly to the hammock ridge line, so a separate tarp suspension is all new to me.
I am looking at using a CRL and attaching it with some Dutch flyz. However, I am also thinking about actually attaching the tarp to the line by using a couple of biners and prusiks. That way I can slide the tarp around without worrying about moving the actual suspension.
Anybody have any experience with this? My concern is whether the prusiks will hold tight enough tension on the tarp.
Thanks.
