Down jacket, or in my case vest, around the foot of the hammock is amazing. That and the CCF pad in the footbox of the TQ have fixed my cold feet issue... Thanks to you for both ideas!

Just passing on ideas I have learned from others and used. Used to always put my parka around my footbox of my sleeping bag in my tent days. Read or saw it somewhere I am for certain.
I just pass on the lessons learned.
Glad to hear your feet are happy.

    Frostnip Update

Update on frostbite. It was more then likely frostnip. Skin is hard and yellowish. Feels numb but like a thick callous. No pain.
I can play the mandolin. Weird thing is when I use a pen or pencil writing and the numb tip makes my already bad handwriting look like bird-scratch.

I'm glad to hear that the finger looks to be on the mend without major damage.
I'm glad to see you do the deep cold. I don't think my body could stand the cold air on the lungs.
Thanks again and I hope to see you again.

Finger totally healed. Took 5 weeks to get normal.
Added a Western Mountaineering Bag Expander to my Pod System so now I can zip up a bit easier when using 0º TQ and UQ inside the pod. Just a bit more wiggle room was needed.
Was able to buy the last one they had in stock….Whoooooo Buddy)))))
