    Stuff Sack for Camp Stool

I've been playing around with sil nylon in preparation for making my first DIY tarp. This is really slippery stuff to work with! I decided that stuff sacks would be the way to start.

I got a Grand Trunk micro stool for Christmas, and noticed that the stuff sack that came with it is a much heavier weight than it needs to be, so I set out to make a new one. It took two tries to get everything to line up evenly, but here is the result. It's not all that exciting, but I'm definitely getting more confident in working with this material.

    Thanks CW!

Once I got the hang of roll hemming and placing the draw cord in as I folded the top, they started going together a lot faster.

Looks great! Stuff sacks were the first thing I learned how to make and was really suprised how complex they can get.

I just take a small shovel and bury my camp stool, rather than packing it out. But, PYOP...

Ummm.... I think we're talking different stools.

Thanks for the comments! Since I made the post, I've also done smaller sacks for my stakes and my tree straps & toggles. I think I'll try a bigger one to use as my clothes sack next. Then again, maybe all these stuff sacks are just my way of putting off that tarp project...
