    Hello from Johannesburg

    Howzit from South Africa

Did my first hammock camp with my husband in October and it was pretty good; just need to get some proper tarps before we do it again! I want hex tarps, but it looks like I will have to either order them from the States or order silnylon from Europe and make them.

Any other South Africans on here? Haven't spotted any so far.

Pic of October's one night hammock camp. The tarps are groundsheets. As you may be able to tell, one is too big and the other too small, and it's probably quite fortunate that it didn't rain.

Welcome to the forums from South Carolina, USA. A good tarp is essential. There is a DIY section here and many people (not me) have made their own tarps.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Welcome from Michigan. Around here we worry about becoming a bear burrito down there you must worry about becoming a Lion burrito? Looks like a beautiful place to hang.
    Good luck,
