    Smile My Complete HH Set-Up

    Finally it is up!

Still couldn't get the Super Shelter on it today, hoping I can convience someone to upload a video on how exactly to do it, I have pictures of the different parts of my hammock as well as the Super Shelter, which I plan on posting and asking the questions under the pictures, will probably do another thread for that.

    Anyway, figured I'd share

Nice setup. From the pic, it looks like you need to snug up your tarp suspension to get it a bit more taut. The SS undercover can be a bit tricky to install - can seem like it was sewn wrong when you first try to install. Just keep the black hem right side up/out around the perimeter and it helps. The HH video is also helpful. Enjoy your new hammock.

I can't tell for sure, but it looks the right tarp line is inside the snake skins. If you take it out, you would be able to get the tarp tauter.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

    Leebums,

Congrats on your new kit. It looks like a beauty. If you follow the link that my pal Tri-Pod Bob posted, the videos will walk you through the installation of your Super Shelter. After you go through it a couple of times it'll be like riding a bicycle. It'll just come naturally and will make all the sense in the world.

I sport a Hennessy Safari Deluxe. I usually hang mine a little higher off of the ground. Makes it easier for me to sit in, or to get in to go to sleep.

All the best with your new love. I'll bet you get some great use out of it.

Nice! I have recently purchased a HH expedition Asym classic. Loving it, but have to agree there are some limitations in using the prusiks on the suspension to rig the tarp. I'm moving to a separate continuous ridgeline for better adjustability.

They are for either or both. Not many use them for both, but HH originally advertized and had a video showing the young girl folding the diamond tarp around the hammock and swallowing both up in the snake skins. Most people here figured the wet tarp would get your hammock wet, plus set up in the rain would be trickier. But some of the folks at HH told me it was their fav way to deal with rain and keep things dry. I never got around to trying it.

But what I used to do, before going to the all in one sack or pack approach, was have 1 set of smaller skins(used to be several sizes) for the tarp, and one set of largest skins for the hammock and undercover. That actually worked great.

Thanks everyone loving every minute of it, soon plan on changing up my suspension system, thinking about using the carabiners and decensding rings, any thoughts on this?

Also I will be passing by an REI store in my very near future any suggestions or reccomendations on what I should pick up?
