    I'm seeing a pattern here that advises against a really tight ridgeline. Seems that folks get a flatter lay with a somewhat more relaxed ridgeline.

    That is correct-I find if ridge is too tight, the lay is not as flat and more difficult to find that sweet spot. You do not want it guitar string tight when in it, just enough tension to keep taught.
    BTW-great choice in the BB, you willnot be disapointed.
