Argon Fabric

In the process of making a top quilt and I am very excited to get started, but... the argon fabric I ordered has a different feel to it on each side. One side is more shiny which leads me to believe that is the side treated with DWR finish, the other is silky soft. Anyone have experience with making a top quilt using this fabric? Which side would i want to be facing the elements?

The shiny side should face the down. That is the calendered side.
