    2 inch seatbelt webbing

If you want to be a little easier on the trees or would like much higher weight rating. They weigh 20 grams per foot and have a breaking strength of 6000 pounds. Only 28 cents per foot.

It is really only there for convenience and not to make profit. I don't expect to sell much of it but I wanted to offer is so people have the option for a more tree friendly strap in drive in state parks. I figure those areas are going to see more and more hangers and get visits from rangers and officials.

Do you have a video or preference on how to hang with these (would you sew 2 loops and run it through each other and attach a whoopie?) and will you have options on adding sewn loops for the non DIY crowd?

A sewn in loop would be nice and less hassle. You could always go with the water knot (aka overhand knot). I use that with climbing webbing to set anchor points. Those overhand knot dont go anywhere once they settle, but you do want to leave enough tail.

The european death knot is one of the strongest knots out there. But it turns inside out on it self 2.5 times before it settles and wont move. Its used to attach to length of rope to each other. But what happened was american climbers learn about it and werent leaving the recommended 18" tail and the ropes were doing there turn before settling but by the time it did it got to the end and came undone and kill people. Hence European death knot. For us though we would only fall a couple feet and then curse the Europeans.

I dont know maybe i just like saying I'm using the European Death Knot.

I would pull it through it's own loop and use it like any hugger. I will sew loops on the ends on for you. Contact me and I will make it custom for you.

This is the second time I've read about seat belt webbing. Does this stuff not stretch? I would figure that it would be at least a little dynamic, like climbing ropes, so you don't end up hurting yourself in a crash.
