    Cloudburst Photos

Just got my Cloudburst and set it up with my WBRR. Pulled in three of the corners to form pseudo-doors. Very restful color inside. Workmanship top notch. Wish it had a bit of cat-cut or a couple more D-rings on the bottom edges.

That second pic is kind of spooky with that light behind the cat. Pretty cool shot.

You can sew a little grosgain with a D ring onto the mid point of the sides if you want, no big deal.

Thanks for the comments. My son's cat posts up on that stump when I'm in the hammock which I thought would make a bit more interesting tarp shot. The photo posted a bit darker than it actually looks on my computer.

Awesome cat! Tarp looks nice and roomy for moving around and changing. This reminds me I need to start using the pullouts on my BMJ more often. Usually too lazy.

I just noticed, you have your side pull out lines going down, directly to ground....in his 2 tarp setup videos, warbonnetguy has his pull out lines pulled higher than parallel to the ground with sticks...he even metions to pull them up. Might want to try it his way, it may take some of the slack out of the bottom edge.

Very observant. Thanks for the suggestions. The pullouts on the opposite side are tied off to a tree and are parallel to the ground or a bit higher. It does, indeed, improve it. This was my first setup and was anxious to get it hung, so I didn't get out my hiking poles or stick(s) to elevate the pull on the side close to the camera.

I tend to run into the long lines required for the side pullouts and went with poles to do the job. It's a great way to go if you don't mind the added ~6.5oz.

Thanks for the suggestion and link. I actually saw your original thread as well as some of the pole mod threads for the SuperFly and hope to try out the pole mod. in the future. Def think it would be handy for group hangs and car camping where wt. is not an issue, and where one wants to avoid tripping or clothesling fellow campers...or just avoid having to duck or skirt around every time you walk by the hammock.
