    Question Footbox?

    On the website it says.....

" Right Lay Asym (head left, feet right) is standard.
Left Lay Asym (head right, feet left) is available, but only upon request.
    "

Does this mean that there is a "footbox" of sorts in the hammock?
Or is it referring to how the netting is attached?

It is the netting that is asym cut, the hammock itself is rectangular shape, hope that helps out

Afaik the "footbox" is specific to the Warbonnet hammocks. I think he invented it, and I haven't seen any other commercially available hammock with a footbox.

I wasn't aware that the Dream Hammocks are cut asym. But this just means that the hammock is cut in a way that intends the user to lie either head left, feet right or vice versa - but not both. The footbox is simply a way of attaching the integrated netting to the hammock body, that gives you bit more room on the foot-end.

+1 without the netting attached (when it is stored in its peak bag) it functions like any other gathered end hammock. The netting is the only thing that is cut asym AFAIK.... Papa smurf can correct me on this but I don't think my tieouts are really that asym

    There is no footbox.
The hammock body is rectangular in shape. The net and overcover are cut asym.
    I hope this helps, thanks.

The Freebird is netless; only the netting is cut asym. So no, it is not asym.

Yes, no net and rectangular body.

Wow so for some reason I've had asym and sym mixed up in my head. Oh I have been eyeing that page for a while now lol. I'm getting a late xmas present from my dad and it will be either a free bird or a stove. Thanks again for clearing me up!
