    DIY Tarp just about finished

I got tired of stalking the For Sale forum waiting for the elusive 4 Season tarp to appear so I decided to make my own. Got all the materials from Quest Outfitters (they happen to be 30 minutes away from me. Awesome people....please support them) for about $70. The time investment was huge but that's mostly because I'm a novice behind the sewing machine. All that's left to do is sew the D-rings onto the panel pulls. I just wanted to write this post to encourage anyone who's thinking about a DIY project to just go for it. Happy Hanging.

Great looking tarp! Is that ridge line cat cut or straight, can't quite tell from the pics. Either way that's a hell of a tarp for the money!

Thanks everyone. I used 1.1 Silnylon which made hemming the cat cuts especially tricky. The ridge line is straight. I thought about doing a cat cut there too but decided against it for no particular reason.

That's one good looking tarp. I really enjoyed my doing my first diy tarp. It's been going strong for almost 2yrs. I'm in the planning stages of my next DIY tarp. Most likely a 12x10 with doors

Excellent job. Was it hard adding the doors? I'm planning out my tarp now

Congrats on a job well done!

It is amazing the difference a big tarp with doors can make when you are out in the chilly woods. Particularly if it is a little breezy. You will enjoy it.
