    UQ design

Are UQ for bridge hammocks a different shape than those for gathered end hammocks?
On my thru hike, i used a HH Assy backpacker bottom entry. I tried a torso length UQ and had trouble getting a snug fit. The UQ was made for a bridge hammock, could that be the reason that I had issues with cold spots. Granted I didn't spend a lot of time working with it and I had limited material for modifications.
I gave up quickly and went to a inflatable pad and a CC pad for my shoulders. I used this setup for about half my hike, but it required a lot of shifting and positioning each time I entered the hammock.
I'm looking to get a new hammock (gathered end) and am wondering if I can use the UQ for the bridge hammock or should I consider a new UQ specific for a gathered end hammock.

UQs made just for bridge hammocks are usually not as wide as ones for gathered end hammocks….as far as I know.

I don't think they make any UQ just for bridge hammocks. Though they do make some ( the MWs) that are biased more for UQs than TQs, and are not as wide. But as an UQ, all of their UQs are meant for all types of hammocks I think.

    From the JRB website...

"The Mt. Washington under quilt works on any hammock – including all gathered end hammocks such as: Clarks, Claytors, Eagles Nests, Hennessys, Warbonnets and the unique Jacks ‘R’ Better Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock".

The only bridge only designs that I know of are from Warbonnet, Arrowhead, and the Banks Bridge shell from Underquilts.com
