Got mine yesterday too. I did the ritualistic sniffing-of-the-new-gear. I also had chicken for dinner last night.

Yes. What are the snaps for on the side?

Got mine yesterday (thanks Brandon!) and hope to be trying it out this weekend on the Long Trail.....(although I DID try it on for size in my basement last night on the Blackbird....it seemed to protect me very well from the chilly 65 degree air )

but I was wondering the same thing-what the heck ARE those snaps for?

Brandon is at Trail Days so it might be next week before you get an answer...
    I'm with Ewker...prototype no snaps
Are yours 3 season or winter Yetis? Synthetic or down?

Mine is a 3 season down, supposedly a prototype.

The two sides have small snaps on them that do not 'mate' to any other snaps on the Yeti...(they are all 'male').....

Next week is fine by me for an answer...just curious.....

I think we all got the prototype that he had. Maybe some got snaps and other's didn't. I ordered mine about the same time that Ewker and Kayaknut did, if you guys ordered about 2 weeks ago when Brandon posted about the availability in that guy's thread.

Caniball had mentioned some changes to the Yeti in an earlier post. Maybe they are for straps to hold it more snugly? Mine is snapless also.

Same here, but boy does it feel nice having it under the BB! First UQ and all I can say is that I'm never going back to pads again. Great job Brandon!
