    Sawyer Waterfilter in Europe

Looking for either of their filters preferably the .02micron though.
I'd be really happy if someone simply knew a source of them in Europe too.

I use two methods of treatment, depending on where I'm camping. In mountainous regions with clear, running streams, I use Stripen Adventurer ultraviolet treatment because it saves weight.

In Florida I use the Sawyer Purifier (not the filter) which removes even viruses. It does a wonderful job of cleaning up swamp water. I use it with the ULA Amigo, a gravity filter. However, this wole setup weighs 14.9 oz (423 g) when wet.

This is critically important. This purifier has to be wet to use it or it will not work at all! Just before leaving, attach the purifier to your kitchen faucet and back-flush using the pressure from the faucet. This is the only way you can get enough pressure to do it. This will saturate the filter and water will flow smoothly from the gravity bag, through the filter, in the field. It will remain saturated as long as you are using it at least once a day.

I know this sounds like somewhat of a bother and it's heavy, but, I'm drinking this stuff!

For any treatment system, I always carry a few chlorine dioxide tablets as back-up.

I forgot to mention in the post above, if your water source has a bad taste or odor problem, I have a simple solution.

I made a bag out of bug netting and filled it with 1 oz (28 g) of charcoal bought from an aquarium shop. The dimensions of the bag are about 2" (5 cm) by 1" (2.5 cm) diameter. I put the charcoal in and sew up the remaining end. I then place this in my water container, usually a soft sided, wide-mouth Nalgene canteen.

I'm still looking for the purifier, couldnt find any dealer in Europe..

If anyone has the time and goodwill to buy one for me and ship it, this person would make me really happy.
In comparison to the banks fees for a bank transfer to REI paypal fees are negligible
