I want that stand! That thing looks awesome. Now can someone make a light enough version to take backpacking into places without trees?

Shipping from the States will be outrageous for me. And I'd need two... The kid is nowhere near paying for this. But at that weight, it'd be great for festivals and such. maybe I can interest some of the aluminum suppliers here in a project like this...

Anyway, I mailed a metal workshop/wholesale company today with images and a description of tent poles that slide into eachother and forces that would be on the aluminum and am waiting for their response.
