Thanks for the info.
I was concerned about how sweaty we would get dragging a sled down there.

I'm sure we will sweat some. The snow is 18-24 inches deep where I walked today. Getting to a place to hang, tho not that far, and clearing the snow under your hammock will take a little work. I should have the fire pit area cleared out by the time everyone gets there.
We might be able to slide all the way down with the car in "park" and the emergency on This morning it was nice and icy in the area. Today's rain will make it interesting.

I agree Dan. We might have to camp in another area to get out of the wind too. I'll check some other areas of the park when I get there.
I was out and about at 7pm and the wind is really whippin.
What time will you arrive out there?

Between 2 and 3 pm.
I hope to leave work at 2, getting there at 3:30. I'm putting things together tonight, so let me know if there's anything I should bring. I have a campfire grate if that should help.
Post a notice if the road will be too slippery to make it back up to the gate. Going down should be easy

If I can get Internet out there I will.
Because of existing wind conditions I'm cancelling my plans to be there.
