    Kifaru Woobie

I'm in need of an under quilt. Right now I am using an ENO DoubleNest but I will be purchasing a Warbonnet Blackbird soon. I also use a Marmot 15º sleeping bag and Therm-a-Rest ProLite or 3/4 RidgeRest. Works fine until it drops below the 50º's. So I am looking to add an under quilt. I also have a Kirafu Woobie that I love. Has anyone used one as bottom insulation?

yes, dozens of people have and with pretty good success down to about 45-50 degrees. but since you have the Kifaru woobie instead of the standard poncho liner you might get a little lower (better insulation in those) do a search for PLUQ (poncho liner under quilt) and you should be of to the races

You may be confusing the Kifaru Woobie with a standard poncho liner. They are two different animals.

with any experience with the Doobie or the Woobie as an underquilt. It would take some serious DIY to add functionality as an underquilt as it does not have the edging tape with which to make channels for the suspension.

I'm making what I call an Underwoobie that takes the advantages of the Kifaru Wobbie and the Hill People Gear mountain serape, but adds the functionality of use with hammocks as both a top or underquilt.

Two Underwoobies snapped together to make a two or three man bag:
