Sleeping bag under quilt

Certainly not for the weight conscious. Strictly a car camper's under quilt but it's what I had . If I recall it is rated to 30 deg.
1.Removed zipper (possible to reuse?)
2.Made channels out of Wally World bargain fabric
3.Sewed channels to sides, top and bottom
4.Inserted shock cord to all channels.
5.Head and foot ends have cord locks for adjustments while
6.Sides attach to triangle thingies which will attach to whoopie slings via mini biners.

What are the dimensions? I am most interested in the width. It looks plenty wide. But not having used one myself I am trying to gather as much info as possible before making my own.

Thanks Bobbinheadlodge, I actually did make them but i think my photography skills may be better than my sewing as I would not call my thread injector skills anything to be envious of. I head the advice of some smart people on this forum, " it doesn't have to look good, just work". Love the word though and thanks!

I have to say it is an honor Shug (really!). I do think I will have to tweek it some. Since I removed the zipper, this has become my test UQ and I may wind up cutting on it to get the dimensions better. I tried it out very briefly (30 min.) in @ 40 deg. temp and could not feel any cold spots but looking at the pictures, I believe I will need to "draw it up some". Friday night the projected low will be 19 deg! ...in Louisiana! so I will try a pad in it and take it for a spin... in the backyard. Thanks again for your comment! My son didn't believe me until I showed him. You are somewhat of a celebrity in our house.

The bag dimensions according to the tag is 33x80 so width as it is in the pics would be 66 inches.

You may not be weight conscious, but when it comes to under quilts, you need to be. The object is full body contact, with no gaps to let cold air in, and overcoming gravity is the challenge of the quilt maker. The best quilts practically float. With that in mind, get out the scissors, and cut ruthlessly... anything more than what it cakes to insulate your body is too much.

Looks like there may be some dead air space between the bottom of the hammock and the quilt, but this may go away while you are in the hammock.
