I'm going to watch your other Youtube Videos later this weekend.
yes, I will try for the gear video or a list. but if I don't just PM me when you feel like it and we can discuss any aspect you wish, no problem- Craig

Thanks for the write-up and videos. My 11 year old son and I are planning thru-hiking it during his spring break. The videos will be great for him to see.

    Thanks for the vid.
    Cloud inversion was fantastic!
I enjoyed your onscreen comments. I'm that way when I get back to edit - I just shake my head at myself sometimes.
I am interested in how your gear did and any lessons learned.
Oh and the iPhone did a good job. Just stick with landscape mode next time

    Thanks very much-
Several people have reminded me about landscape mode and honestly I did not even realize I could do that with the iPhone. It was the first time I had used it for video and just held it normally... duh! well maybe next time.

This was an absolutely outstanding trip report on your blog! I am very impressed with both your narration and your presentation of pics. Great job! This trail is definitely on my 'to do his year' list!

Thank you very much - it is not Shug or Fronkey, but it is fun to entertain myself hiking alone- I always think about more stuff to say but wonder if it appropriate LOL

That was a very good read! I want to do all of the Foothills trail and might during the summer. This just makes me want to do it more!

Be cautious when you go, though. My first experience on this trail was in 104º heat, over July 4th weekend. I'd recommend going either at the beginning or end of summer rather than during the highest heat months; the Laurel Valley, especially, will be sweltering during higher temperatures (think 100% humidity).
