    Buffalo River Trail Pics

Here is a group of pics from Jan 17th hike of the Buffalo River Trail from Boxley to Steel Creek... good sample of the diverse terrain in a relatively short distance. Temperatures ranged from 20F to 55F. We spent a leisurely 48 hours on this 13 mile hike.

A good ad for the Helionox Camp Chair - almost didn't need my hammock that night....

really nice! and an elk! was he wild or pened up? we saw just one last canoe trip, he was standing at the Buffalo River, where the little Buffalo joined it.....My canoe buddy said "yeah.....elk came down to the river and wonders why some stupid humans are out in a canoe in the rain"

Great photos. Is this anywhere near where the March group hang will be? The boy and I were thinking about going but haven't decided. If that is close by then you may have made ours minds up for us.

Thanks very much for posting. Really nice rig too. How many ground dwellers did you convert?

That's a wild elk... he was in one of the private fields in Boxley valley.

This leg of the BRT is just upriver from Kyles Landing where the March hang is based. Steel Creek is a little more than 7 miles from Kyles Landing - and would make a great hike into the group hang in March.
