Ratdog, are you sure you measured right? XL is 24" plus torso, I'm 6'3" and a large. You might want to check to be sure.

I have run the hipbelt under the belly.

For sure I should be a large, but I had someone else measure an hour ago. I think I will measure a pack at home. Most definitely need to be able to shift load from hips to shoulders and back. Have a bad shoulder and it's been sore ever since the winter hang when someone smacked it a couple times.

For what it's worth, replacement belts are $39, still saving some cash.

Thought that through as well, since I already own a Circuit and could use that medium hip belt interchangeably.

Then there is finding a buyer for the large hip belt.

Undoubtedly a good deal at that but then do I need one more ULA pack?
