First Hang with picture of setup

    Hey guys,
After doing all my research from HF I finally did my first hang, granted it was only 30 min during my lunch break.
    I am using
    -Yukon Outfitters Mosquito hammock
-two petzl Ange carabiners (replaced the 2 steel screw lock carabiners)
-two 15 foot harbor freight 400 lb tow straps

I set it up pretty easily. After looking at enough pictures from HF and Shug's videos, it was cinch out in the field.

I fed the webbing through itself around each tree and tied a Marlin Spike Hitch with a simple slip knock to back it up and used the carabiners as the toggle as well as connecting the hammock to the suspension.

I used the provided shock cord and connected it to the carabiners to keep the bug net off my face. I know i didn't need the bug net and could have flipped it under me, but I wanted to see how I fit into it.

Here are pictures of my setup.

I am about 5 foot 8 inches fyi in case anyone was wondering about fit in the hammock. I dont see too many clear pictures of this hammock on the forums or on the internet (minus the yukon outfitters youtube video) so I figure I post some.

I plan on using the warbonnet cinch buckles and modify the stuff sack into a bishop bag.

Nice Hang! I just got the exact same Hammock from one of those daily deals websites. I'm 6 ft and would love to hear how the hammock worked out for you, pro's vs con's

    Thanks!

I never have used the mosquito net tie outs, that solves the baggy net from the looks of it. The bishop bag stuff sack is exactly what I did, great job!

Great stuff. Thanks for the pics! My buddy has this hammock and hasn't tried it out yet, so this will help clarify any potential issues with the set up.
