Hello Hammock Forums,
My name is Jacob and I attend Walt Whitman High school. I am currently a junior and I am working on a project for PLTW and my group and I are spending the entire year building and designing a hammock. We hope to get feedback in the future for the people on this forum because they seem to know the most about hammocks than anyone who we could find.

Welcome jpsd. You certainly came to the right place for hammock information. Hopefully you have found Shug's videos and if you need a book to reference, check out Derek Hansen's great hammock book--it is about $4 for the kindle version from amazon. There are lots of MDer's here and everyone on the forum is friendly and very willing to share information , so ask away.

Welcome from Southern MD. If you want to see lots of hammocks and meet the people using them, look for the MAHHA info. You'll get lots of info real life info there. It's a Mid Atlantic Hang that's open to everyone and takes place around the end of April.
