I just came here to say thanks. Without this forum I would probably not have even attempted to make my own underquilt. I now own a sewing machine and have taught my self a new skill. Anyway here are some photos from my last hang.

My mom has has a sewing machine in the closet for 20 ish years and I've been thinking about taking on a project like this. Great job
Thanks for the nice comments. I used an old synthetic sleeping bag cut it to length and sewed silnylon to the bottom. I made a channel and ran shock cord through it. It looks the part and has worked well. Believe it or not it can get cold (relative) here in Kauai.
What a great use of what you already had! Looks great. So the silnylon is kind of a built in UQ Protector? You'll have to let us know if you get any condensation issues with that.
