I found hammocks on a canoe site then knew this type of site had to be out there and I bought & Read "The Ultimate Hang".
I spent a lot of years hiking the Whites of NH. I completed the NE 4ks and then found canoeing. All that gear I humped around the backcountry AND MORE now fits into my canoe. I eat better and relax in my chair at night and I'm still back in the wilderness.
My stepdaughter's Byer of Maine Moskito Hammock arrived this week, my WBBB 1.7DBL is "In the Mail", along with about $100 worth of extras from Dutchware. I'm working on converting my four each Army Poncho liners into a couple under quilts and adding grommets to a hiking tarp, (I don'd sew, yet)
The learning curve got a little shallower thanks to the information I've found here.
Thanks for all the input
