Exped tents come with small mesh bags for keeping the guylines organized, and the bags double as 'flags' to lessen the chances of tripping over guylines.

You can purchase the guylines and bags from Exped in theory, but it seemed like an easy DIY project.
The pics (thumbnails below) should help make this simple little project clear.
First I made a cardboard pattern - dimensions in mm.
I made up some folded seam binding (about 12mm wide) from cloth in my 'stash' and cut out the mesh shapes, using a hot knife tip in my soldering gun.

After that it was a pretty straightforward matter of adding the seam binding to the ends, folding (pressing) and binding the edges to close up the 'pocket and form the loops for attaching to the guyline. NB- one of the loops takes a turn of the guyline to keep the flag from sliding.
