    Soggy but happy

Well I got my Clarks NA in last week and the weather in the SE this weekend was terrible for camping. Since the wife had to work nights, I figured I would just hang in the back yard. I live on 5 acres out in the country anyway.

So I hung Saturday and Sunday night and it was great. We had terrible storms and I slept like a baby with the wind rocking me to sleep. I did not get wet at all except for after I got out of the hammock. The only problem I had was being a little warm. I was so impressed I just ordered a Clarks Tropical 2 with the XL rain fly for these hot SE rainy nights!

Do you know what the temps were? We too have been getting storms & rain for a couple of days/nights and I decided it would be good practice to set up in the rain in my backyard. I've got my tarp seperate from the hammock so I can put it up first and stay under it while putting up the hammock. That's working out really well. The more I "practice" the better I'm getting at eyeballing where to set the ropes. I've got the tropical and after I finished setting it up, I decided to just hang out in it a while. I got chilly and had to go get my summer uq, didn't need anything on top after attaching the uq. That's why I asked about the temps, it was about 80 degrees here but I figured the rain made it feel damp or humid thus chilly.
Did you order the weathershield on your tropical??

Weather was high 70 to 60's over night. Yes I went ahead and got the weather shield. They said if I decided I wanted it I could send it back. I figured I would just go ahead and get it.

My brother gave me the NX200 for my birthday a couple of months ago. I have used it backpacking, car camping, and just hanging out. This thing is the best! I too was hanging in the rain here in GA last weekend.

Looks like it's time for someone to buy a singer! Get 'em hooked and show them how easy it can be to make their own gear. One or two of them may kick up and start providing enough new ideas to keep you all experimenting for a while.
