Ordered a new KAQ Potomac

Well, I've kicked the tires until I couldn't stand it anymore. So, I ordered a new KAQ Potomac yesturday.

I've been running a supershelter on my Hennessy Deep Jungle until now. I should have the new one just in time to try out at Woodbadge training next month.

I have a Potomac for my Hennessy Explorer bottom entry. I never liked the supershelter, but the UQ is great.

Have fun at Woodbadge. I used to be a Bobwhite, a good old Bobwhite too ....

Received the UQ today. It looks FANTASTIC. I can't wait to give it a try. It appears to have a lot more loft than I expected. I'll give you guys a report when I try it out.

Sorry for the late reply. I have the deep jungle. I am 6ft, 200lbs. I used it over the weekend for Wood Badge and I LOVE it. It got down to 30-32 degrees both nights. I slept with just it, a 20 degree cats meow bag, and a pair of light weight long underwear and was never uncomfortable. No stocking cap. I will say that I am totally sold on my Underquilt. I'm now looking at one for my Ridge Runner.

Definitely get the underquilt. Its warmer, lighter (i think), and much more comfortable. My kaq jarbidge keeps me really warm.
