i can vouch for being charged by paypal, i do have a business account though.

if it's lightweight and will fit in a manilla envelope, then first class will be about 1/3 or 1/2 the cost of priority mail. www.usps.com has a nice postage calculator which shows the prices for all their different shipping options.

I've never been charged anything but the standard PP fees when having payment sent via CC, or at least I'm pretty sure I haven't. I'll go through my records and double check that.

I have not been charged for balance transfers to my supporting bank account. I have been charged the normal business account charges.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I did a little research and found this chart with the fee breakdown:

The chart says that no fees are charged for balance/bank account transfers, but I know for a fact that that is total BS. You get charged a fee no matter how the money is sent to you. A little more research turned up this:

After all, they are being charged by Visa/Mastercard, etc. And we understand there is a lot of fraud with credit card funding. However, most of the money sent within the Paypal system no longer comes from credit card funding. However, money spent from PayPal account to PayPal account is subject to the exact same fees credit card purchases are! This money has been in the system for years and is "clean." That is, there are no fees at all to Paypal, and there is almost no fraud at all with this money, but Paypal charges the SAME fees to transactions with NON-credit card funds! Thus every transaction makes PayPal money, but it's nothing more than an entry in a computer database on their system. No money has actually moved, and there are no costs to Paypal. They are just skimming the gravy.

When I transfer money from my balance on line to my bank account I have not been charged a fee. I think that is what they are referring to.

You are correct... no matter the source of the money (bank account, credit card or on-line balance) there is a fee charged to the seller/recipient for that transaction. As the seller recipient I have no way of knowing what source the buyer used unless I have to wait for the buyers bank to process the transaction. But transfers within my own accounts have been free. I now have the debit card to avoid the hassle and delay of transferring funds. If I were to withdraw funds from an ATM I would be charged a $1 transaction fee. Point of Sale purchases carry with them no additional fees as the buy when I use the card.

When I say balance transfer I mean I pay you from my PayPal balance, not the money you transfer from your bank to your PP account.

A personal account is NOT charged a fee when a payment is made from a PayPal balance or an instant transfer. A CC payment to personal account will incur a very hefty fee.

A business or premiere account is charged for ALL transactions regardless of origin.

I am very familiar with PayPal, I used them when I had my webhosting business. I took all my payments through PayPal. I had to know the rules!
