Great video as always MM. Thanks for inviting me along. The learning curve for these types of outings is long and as always, I got a long way to go. I was prepared I thought for static camping, the wind, the temps, but also learned the hard way a lesson in lighter pack weight and quicker setups and tear downs of the hammock. I'm always the last one in and last one out. Gear problems and gear failures still haunt me. I've also learned there is a balance that needs to be learned of not being warm enough and being too warm. But my thoughts going into this type of hike and hang was how do I get the experience I need unless I go out there and get the experience? The trouble with using experience as a guide is that the final exam often comes first and then the lesson. Oh well...

Given the camaraderie and fun time I had with this exceptional group of people, this was indeed a memorable and good experience. Bobs Dairyland and the six pack of Coors Lights was pretty cool. And a special "Thank You" to all of you who welcomed me to share this adventure with you!

It was a kinder, gentler RHK when compared to 2013. What's in store for next year - thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening me?

An absolutely fantastic bunch, by order of appearance:

Spam - provider of fresh percolated coffee at RHK
Wisenber - master of the no cook survival method
Hangnout - most likely we all have a piece of gear made from his hands
Ragnall - the Bob's Dairyland girls' favorite
Ftroop - my best to Precious, may our paths cross again
Grapenut - historian of the power bar
Riven & Crackerbilly - how did ever get a roaring fire going at RHK
Fire Pit Guy - what's next, -30 at Finland MN
MedicineMan & Poof - the HF power couple
Fire In My Bones - the diplomatic enforcer
Neutron - saved many souls with his soup kitchen

MM, Great video as always. Glad everybody had a great time. I hope there really is a Roan Higher and Warmer hang in July. That's when I look forward to the high balds and relief from the summer heat and humidity.

I don't post very often, but this trip was awesome and so were all of you!

Great company...good friends...lots of laughs...Who can ask for more?

Power couple indeed!!...Ha! We felt more like the POWERLESS couple as we contemplated retrieving our backpacks after the walk across the balds! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!

The delivery of our backpacks was the very best of surprises with Neutron's stew a very close and yummy second!

I'm already looking forward to next year!! July sounds like a plan!
