    Material for DIY Down TQ?

I'm getting my measurements sorted out, and am starting to look at getting some material ready.

If I understand everything I've read so far, I want my material to be calendared for down-proofness, but not DWR or Sil, so it can breath, to help vent any moisture that gets into the down. (I can always add a seperate VB later, if needed)

    Am I correct?

Also, any suggestions on the best temp range to aim for - I can't see myself making another TQ for myself soon. Mostly expect to be going out in the summer in BC, so normally around 10C or more at night, but want to extend my range as I gain more experience. I'm thinking to aim for around freezing - seem reasonable?

    (I already made a UQ - I aimed it for around -5C)

    Thanks!

Fabric: get some ARGON CS90 from Dutch. This stuff is incredibly light, down proof, and double ripstop. It's excellent.

Temp: Somewhere in the 0C range? If you make it with a convertible footbox, you can always open it up in warmer weather. And, if you wanted to go into colder temps, you could always leave a puffy jacket on top of you under the quilt for more insulation.

DWR is ok but sil is not. I have used some DWR that was not calendared for down quilts with no leakage.
