So to be clear. When I camped there I camped to the right of the drive right before the parking lot. There was a creek there. Is that the spot we are camping in? I never noticed other trails.

When you pull into the parking lot there is a split rail fence at one end of the lot. From this corner there is a trail that goes back to the creek and the large open area is where we'll be camped. There are cut through trails from the lot as well. I'll try and have some signs up.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
Thanks 2 ply! I'll be up there Friday afternoon. Can't wait to meet everyone!
I've been to the falls, but never camped at raven cliffs----------are there plenty of places to hang at the campsite?
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Time is flying, got to get my gear together. Dutch ovens to clean and get ready, charcoal to buy, starter chimney, tongs, maybe a good leather glove. I can't think of anything to cook in them though.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
We'll have plenty of trees to choose from.

I am definitely planning on attending--looks like a great place to hang! Any guitar or banjo players coming?

Looking more like I can make this one. If so, I'll be first in line for biscuits! You've got dutch oven duty as Doodad has a girlfriend that's keeping him busy.
Any time I've been in that area, never been an mosquito issue - higher elevation I guess. However, its that time of year when a nice hot day can really bring out the gnats.
