That's a strange problem for a marine line to have. I use the grey version and haven't noticed any grey coming off on me, unless some got in my hair...

I ordered 100' from Seattle Marine back on 16 June. Still haven't received it. Sent 3 messages asking when it will ship ... no response. Plan to call tomorrow. Not impressed with their customer service.

I placed an order with them on 6/23; on 6/29 I got an email that the order was completed, along with a UPS tracking number. Also, they didn't charge my credit card until the order was processed. I figured we're pretty small fry to them, so I didn't expect much interaction.

Hope you get your stuff soon!

Sure hope you got your stuff by now, Hike!

Just wanted to follow up -- my order just arrived (7/6), as projected.

Finally got my Amsteel blue today. I called them last week. My PO was stuck to someone else's. They apologized and sent it out the same day.

Thanks for the report, Hike4WD -- good to know it wasn't indifference on their part.

    Amsteel Blue shipping cost

If you choose USPS on the Reddenmarine.com site it will cost 4.95 to anywhere USA. we use a flat rate box and can get upwards of 300' in that box size.. also don't forget about our coupon code "hammockforum" which drives the price down to around .14 per ft of 7/64..
any questions give us a call... we love the forum group! Thanks for everyones support!

    My best regards!

Is the "blue" amsteel blue the only one that's UV protected or are all the colors the same?

Just did some field tests while family camping last week in Zions NP. Held very well. If it gets wet the blue dye does begin to wash out and will get over your hands and clothes if you are not careful.

I also went with the 7/64 instead of the 1/8.
16.00 FOR 100'??????? Where in the world did u see that? I saw 9.97 a foot.
