Exclamation My name should be Freezing in Alabama

    Hello everyone,

i have used pads, and ponchos and clothes and leaves and road kill, (not really), but i still freeze my butt off. I found i was choosing very humid spots, i.e creekside and hollars, so there is one problem. I really want to sleep in cooler and colder weather. i finally have the money for an underquilt, should i just go ahead and get one, and if i do, can i ditch the pad altogether for these cool Alabama nights? ditching the pads help with weight as well.

    Thanks,
    cc

Welcome to the forums from SC. I started with pads, but got an underquilt as soon as I could afford one. I love my downy goodness!
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

I think you should go ahead and buy the underquilt, but you should still keep the pads.

Yep, ditch those pads. A 20* UQ is probably all you need for those cool nights in Alabama.
