    Greetings from Minnesota

Hello HF members, hammocking newbie from MN here checking in.

Well it's been many years since I've had a hiking adventure and I decided it was high time to have one. Through research I came across the concept of hammock camping, and then to this forum (and many more hours of research).

Due to the many positive review and comments from this forum and elsewhere, I ordered a Warbonnet Blackbird 1.1 dbl and a Superfly. Hopefully it will serve me well.

I'm sure I will have many more questions in the future, but for now, thanks for all the useful information!

    Hey Fronkey,

I enjoyed your Superior Hiking Trail videos. You have a good looking Husky, I would like to take mine hiking but she may be too old at 9 years.

    Thanks for watching the videos.

With proper exercise, patience and care. You can take your pup out there with you. Even for just a short walk in the woods.

Enjoy the Minnesota trails. They sure are great.

Welcome from another Minnesotan. Blackbird and Superfly are my setup and they work perfect. I hope you enjoy them and our beautiful state.

    Fronkey,
Huskeys have a natural predisposition to bad hips, and mine needed some hip surgery as a result, so I guess I am more concerned from a health stand point. Nonetheless she is a very spry gal and I feel she could handle some overnighters.

    Shug,
I very much enjoy your videos as well, you are a veritable font of information and entertaining as well (play a mean saw).

    Xdbass,
How are you liking the setup? We certainly do have a beautiful state (albeit cold). Last real trek was a week in the boundary waters.

Thanks for making me feel welcome everyone!

Welcome to the forums. We are pretty much neighbors!

A great place for a quite night out on this side of the cities is Carver Park Reserve.

    Hey Refreshing, you're right!

Thanks for the tip. Once some warm weather hits I'm going to be looking for some easy going places to test the gear. That looks just about right.
