Im in line for a JRB MT wash 3 when production catches up from traildays and the bug has bit, now I want a top quilt. The Old rag caught my eye. I consider myself a cold sleeper. For the seasoned quilt users, what is your favorite top quilt?

Well, I stopped having to make that choice. I've got a top quilt for all seasons these days, thanks in part to the Speer down group buy the first of the year. But, if I could only pick one top quilt I'd have to go with my JRB RMS. Just an Old Rag with a head-hole.
Trust nobody!
Also a cold sleeper. JRB Nest as a top quilt and the MW4 combo has been very comfortable down to the low 20*F. With the MW3 and Nest as a top quilt mid 40*F have been very comfortable. So far the coolest I've gone with either combo. Picked up a BMW UL90 quilt during an end of the season sale. Outside of airports & hotel rooms have yet to use it. The warmth of the MW3 might allow use of the BMW for cool Northwoods early & late summer nights. Would drop +10oz of mass from the pack compared to the Nest.

You cannot go wrong with the RMNS or the regular no sniv depending on the temp and your tolerence to the cold. Definately tried and true method.

I bought a Nunatak Specialist not too long ago and it's going to be with me for a very long time.
I ♥ my Warbonnet
Above 45 my JRB Stealth Long.
Below 45 my JRB Hudson River Long.
I just bought a JRB old rag mountain. Hence, it's my favourite top quilt. (I haven't tried any others. There are some people here who have way more gear than I do .. so I'd trust their opinion more.)

gram counter, not gram weenie!
Started with the Alpinist then added the Ghost, the Edge and the AT.
I used the AT with a Thermawrap Parka on the section hike two weeks ago--nice system. My favorite is the Alpinist-maybe emotional since its been all over the country and carried for several hundred AT miles. Would love to add the Exp. model someday.
