A new purpose for the spare room

So the post that originally brought me to these forums was one about hanging safely in a mobile home, and I finally got brave enough to try it out. It's working great, although I'm still getting in and out very gingerly as I don't trust my construction skills, but it's the best place in the house to chill (and no, I did not pick that color for the walls, I'm just too lazy to repaint).

Looks like you have solved the wall support problem. I may try something similar in our loft.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

That looks great to me. Almost all of the forces are supported by your structure not the walls. You could make a nice shelf above the structure too. Or mount a tv or tablet facing down toward the hammock. It could also have a place to hang your mp3 player making it the ultimate chill location not only in the house but, quite possibly the state.

Hmmm may have to look into that for my home hang...great inspiration. Must build now.

That, my friend, is a fantastic idea!
