    Indoor Hanging spot

    Hi,

I whould like to install some sort of hanging system in my sleeping room.
I was thinking of something like just ot strong hooks.
Only 1 problem: 1 have only one solid wall. All the rest is drywall so not really sturdy. Can I hang it in the drywall with some special tools?
    or are there anyother options?

You can hang in the dry wall as long as you get the hook in a stud.

That's assuming you have wooden studs. I sure as heck wouldn't hang on a metal stud - too flimsy.

There's always the ceiling, but that's a bit harder to work out. Imminently doable, though.

I always wondered about this, my mattress is really old and I always felt that a Hammock would be better for me sleeping wise. I only was able to hang downstairs in my basement attaching it to these poles/beams that I have. I was able to find this online - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...3124737AATitak

    I also found this,

    http://www.eaglesnestoutfittersinc.c...or-hammocking/

That might be a better guide than the first link I posted

Good luck and let me know the outcome : ) Hopefully I can do a similiar setup

Ceiling Joist!! I didn't like watching the drywall flex on me when I tried the studs. 350 lbs bouncing on ceiling joist of apt rental works for me. Hand cranked eye screws into Ceiling Joist. sweep drywall. impress lady. Nap. Good day.

    be fun.

    I found a solution.

Just found a second wall that is solid. Strangly enough it never occured me to look for it.
