    Dutch clip up side down?

I know this question should be directed to Dutch but I think you lot might have a few interesting points on the subject.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRhGemerI28

I have just ordered a set of TI clips and I have been wondering, are they up side down in this video? Does it matter which way you use them? How do you have your dutchware?

PS. I know biners are more convenient but liked purpose made (lighter) items.

I've been using them both ways since they came out and it doesn't seem to matter. Usually one end winds up one way while the other end winds up the opposite.

Far be it from me a padiwan learner to cast any doubt on what Dutch shows in his videos. I have used it both ways when I first got them but my instinct tells me and I have followed, to have the gap pointing up. Just my gut.

If you ain't Dutch, you ain't much. HYOH or should that be HYODC.

Just don't let the pointy part stick into the strap. DAMHIK

It's upwards for better retention on the loaded strap, vs downwards so the gravity keeps the clip on the strap when there is no load on the hammock. I am torn

With the Aluminum Clips I would use then in the up position and there is less chance of the straps slipping out. I have the original clips and have not had any problems using them either up or down.

With the Ti Version it will not matter as the straps are wedged in so tight it would very hard for them ( the straps ) to slip out.
