Need Help With My Tarp Suspension!

I recently bought a JRB 11'x10' tarp, and I'm trying to figure out a good way to suspend it. I'm currently using whoopie slings attached to a tree strap for my hammock, and I figured I could use them for my tarp as well. They are adjustable, light weight, and strong. I want to connect the whoopie sling to the tarp by a carabiner, connecting the fixed loop and the and the loop strap of my tarp. In my head this make perfect sense, but I'm a very inexperienced hammocker so I'm not confident in my ideas yet.

I'll be hiking the AT starting late March, so I need a suspension that I can take down and put back up day after day. Are there any reasons why the whoopie slings wouldn't be ideal?

It will work. However, the whoopie sling can't go around the tree because you wouldn't be able to make adjustments. Also, whoopie slings take up space. Since the tarp is the item that determines your minimum tree spacing, the additional space for the whoopies will limit your tree choices somewhat. For these reasons, whoopies aren't commonly used for tarp ridgelines.
Another thing, you don't want your tarp to be the weakest link in your setup! Make sure that something in your suspension will break first.

The tarp on the hammock suspension will let the tarp sag when you load up the hammock.

I have my tarps on a zing it ridge line separate from the hammock. Fast put up and down. Plus you can deploy tarp during rainstorms without hammock if needed.

Edit- for some reason I thought you meant is same whoopies as hammock.

I like my zing it continuous RL. The tarp is connected with continuous loops prusiked to the ridge line. Use a number nine to tighten RL.

I'm looking into the zing it set up. I found this thread https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=71649 and I think it has a lot of potential. I'm going to see what I can make of it.
